Schneider Electric’s fourth quarter net loss narrows to Rs-11.25cr thanks to higher year-on-year revenue
Schneider Electric Ltd reported 7.66% higher consolidated revenue for the March 21 quarter at Rs247.18cr. On a sequential basis, net sales were down -47.67% from total sales for the December 20 quarter to Rs472.31cr.
FY21 fiscal year revenue was -6.3% lower at Rs1.287cr. The company has accumulated losses to the tune of Rs.357cr at the end of March 21st. This has led to a substantial erosion of the company’s equity and has also created short-term uncertainty regarding the sustainability of future cash flows.
Net losses in the March 21 quarter sharply narrowed to Rs-11.25cr compared to a net loss of Rs-25.75cr in the March 20 quarter. However, the performance contrasted with the December 20 quarter, when the company reported net profit of 33.34 cr.
However, net cash from operating activities in FY21 fiscal year improved sharply to Rs7.6cr due to better management of working capital by the company. The company suffered a slight one-off loss during the quarter as a result of the restructuring undertaken by the company.
